"Jeffy's Scary Movie!" is the 520th episode of the SML Movies.

Jeffy watches a scary movie!
Bad Qualities[edit | edit source]
- The premise is unoriginal as the basic idea had already been done in Jeffy's Biggest Fear, where Jeffy becomes scared of something, and that something starts appearing around him, only instead of his fear actually appearing around him, he is instead reminded of the movie.
- The titular scary movie isn't very scary due to Felipe's monotone voice, the fact that the weapons are regular birthday items, and the filler.
- Plot holes:
- Why does Jeffy think the scary clown will pop out of a bag of animal crackers? There would be no room for the clown as there would be a bunch of animal crackers in the way, and the bag itself would be too small to get into.
- Why does Rosalina suspect Mario of letting Jeffy watch the scary movie after Jeffy screams from the confetti popper? She had blown the confetti into Jeffy's eyes, and it would've been very startling and could even cause eye trauma. Also, shouldn't he put herself the blame for letting Mario be forced to let Jeffy watch it instead?
- How on Earth did Jeffy pass 4th grade with an IQ like his? Even Jeffy himself asks this! The only reason they made him pass it was probably because his friends were passing it.
- The Netflix thumbnail looks uninspired and bland as it's just the clown next to text saying "SCARY CLOWN" behind a dark-gray background.
- The "Interrupting cow who?" joke can get annoying fast.
- Jeffy's screaming could get on your nerves easily since he screams so much.
- Hypocrisy: Mario scolds Jeffy for watching the movie, even though he let Jeffy watch the movie.
- Pointless innuendo: A movie character's wiener dog balloon gets popped, and Jeffy says wiener dog balloon in fear without the dog.
- Mario can be considered unlikable as he lies to Rosalina continually and even tells Jeffy to shut up in front of her.
- Rosalina is also unlikable due to how cruel she acts because of how she tortures Jeffy with clown-themed items.
- Jeffy's a hypocrite as he says he won't get scared of the movie, but he gets scared of the movie. He's also a pathetic punching bag for forcing Mario to let him watch the movie and ends up letting himself get tortured by Rosalina.
Good Qualities[edit | edit source]
- "Cause that booty like an onion!"
- Felipe being completely lifeless and monotone is pretty funny.
- The movie can be funny as it parodies a lot of tropes in horror movies.
- The plot had potential, but unfortunately was executed poorly.
- Good Ending: After Rosalina shoots Jeffy with the confetti popper, Jeffy tells her the truth, which leads to Mario telling her the truth as well and promises her that he won't lie to her again.

- When Jeffy says, "Cause that booty like an onion!", he sounds like Black Yoshi, possibly because they are both voiced by Lance Thirtyacre.
- This video confirms that the Fourth Grade series has ended as Rosalina states that Jeffy has passed fourth grade to make him happy. However, it is possible that she's lying, mentioning that Jeffy passed in the Series Finale.
- This episode was uploaded 6 years after "Toad's Mistake 3", 5 years after "Bowser Junior Loses Thomas!" and 3 years after "Jeffy Sneaks Out!".
- The puppet used for the Scary Clown was Butterball's, but a hand puppet version customized by the SML crew with scary makeup and pointed teeth.
- This marks Felipe’s first appearance in 2020 since "Bowser Junior Learns Spanish!" and his first appearance on SuperBowserLogan.
- The SML Question in this video is similar to the one in "Bowser Junior's Flu Shot!", but it includes the word "most".
- This is the first video where Jeffy is scared of chocolate cake and refuses to eat it.
- Jeffy screams a lot in this video just like in "Jeffy Loses His Pencil!", "Jeffy's Bathtime!", and "Jeffy's Biggest Fear!".
- This is the second and last appearance of Butterball in 2020.
- This is one of the rare instances where Jeffy calls Mario by his real name rather than "Daddy".
- Running gags: Jeffy not getting the "interrupting cow" jokes, asking "Interrupting cow who?" at the start and the end of the video.
- Felipe in this video is probably a reference to Diego from Awkward Puppets, as both of them are very stoic, they speak in a monotone voice, and of course, they're Hispanic.
- This episode took the inspiration from an episode of Barbie Grace's World that came out 2 days earlier, and that was "The Scary Movie".
- The movie is a reference to various horror movies featuring clowns like IT (2017) and the sequel IT: Chapter Two (2019) and how some recent horror films are not that scary.
- At one point, the Scary Clown laughed similar to that of Woody Woodpecker's trademark laugh.
- Mario mentions CatDog, a former Nickelodeon program.
