"Cody's Prank!" is the 593rd episode of SML Movies.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Cody decides to prank Chef Pee Pee, but things take a turn for the worst.
Why This Is Not A Funny Prank[edit | edit source]
- To start things off, this episode is a rehash of not one, not two, but three previous episodes that are all Chef Pee Pee torture episodes. First of all, the idea of a Chef Pee Pee torture episode on April Fools was already done in the infamous "April Fools!". Second, the idea of a prank targeting Chef Pee Pee going wrong was already done twice, in "The Prank" and "Bowser Junior's Prank Gone Wrong".
- Junior's very unlikable here, since he basically lies to his friends and passes them off as April Fools jokes, punches Cody for no reason at all, calls Cody a "little baby" just because the prank he came up with was a fart joke, and snitches to the police about "murdering" Chef Pee Pee. He's also a hypocrite, as he says Cody's whoopee cushion is a stupid idea, when in the past he had glued Chef Pee Pee's eyes shut and made him go deaf, which are stupid pranks.
- Plenty of plot holes:
- Why don't Junior and Cody hear Chef Pee Pee talk while Junior was talking about Chef Pee Pee being bad? This would be understandable for Junior, but Cody is much smarter than Junior and would've realized Chef Pee Pee was faking being dead.
- Why do Junior and Cody decide to listen to rock music? It's completely disrespectful and inappropriate given the situation they were in.
- How does Chef Pee Pee escape his "coffin" when it had a lot of tape on it?
- Chef Pee Pee basically brings torture onto himself by pretending to be dead, as he knows how dumb Junior can get yet still think nothing bad will happen to him.
- Brooklyn Guy is useless since he doesn't believe that Chef Pee Pee "died" and doesn't even come look to see if Junior was telling the truth or not simply because it was April Fools day.
- A dumb and predictable beginning where Junior keeps lying to Cody about the remote and then saying "April Fools!" afterwards, and it's basically a Cody torture beginning. It's like nails on a chalkboard when Junior starts blabbering in that ear-piercing, high-pitched squeal! It's totally childish and obnoxious and it just keeps happening over and over and over again.
- Cody lies about his parents tragically dying in a car crash, which is offensive and disrespectful to people who actually lot their parents in a car crash, and is out of character for Cody since he usually tries to be as respectful as possible in situations as such.
- Misleading thumbnail: Chef Pee Pee is shown in a coffin, when he's put into a shoe box instead.
The Only Redeeming Quality[edit | edit source]
- Chef Pee Pee escapes his grave at the end and gives Junior his comeuppance.
