"Cody's Bad Word!" is the 756th episode of SML Movies.

Why It's a Bad Word[edit | edit source]

This is yet another Cody torture episode. We all know Cody is not a racist and hangs with Joseph all the time.
Misleading title: Despite the video's title, Cody doesn't say a bad word in this video.
Everybody except for Cody and Chef Pee Pee is unlikable.
- Junior and Joesph (especially the latter) are super unlikable for annoying Cody over saying "inward".
  - Joseph is the worst character in this episode, as he basically instigated the entire episode by accusing Cody of saying the "N-word" (when in reality he said "inward"). This is also a notable example of his racism jokes going way too far, and is one of the worst examples of his flanderization. And guess what? Joseph says the actual N-word (albeit thankfully censored; but it is unlikely whether Lovell said the actual N-word or "ninja") in the video and insults Cody with racial white slurs.
  - Junior isn't any better either, as he believes everything Joseph says, never calls out Joseph when he insulted Cody with white racial slurs or called Cody the N-word, and later on in the episode where he lies to Cody's parents. This also counts as one of the worst examples of his flanderization.
The entire video from start to finish is Cody torture and dumb filler.
The plot kicks in way too quickly. Not in the second minute, not the first, but 12 seconds in!
The "WOW!!" gag gets very annoying after the first few times.
Because this is already one of the many videos where Junior and Joseph bully Cody the whole time, it is so insanely boring and has unfunny jokes, such as the "WOW!!" gag.
Hypocrisy and plot hole: Junior has said the N-word multiple times in past videos (For example: Bowser Junior's YouTube Channel where he says it 3 times), yet Joesph never called him out for it. Here, he and Joesph gets pissed off when Cody says it. Not only that, but Joseph also insulted Cody with various racial white slurs and the N-word which makes him a racist and also hypocritical for calling Cody a racist when he insulted Cody with various white slurs/the N-word. Another plot hole is about how Chef Pee Pee didn't try to intervene in the situation when he should be able to hear the situation and he was the only character in this episode who is smart enough to hear Cody's side of the story and he can back up Cody so Junior and Joseph would back off or give them their comeuppance for treating Cody terribly.
The infamous scene where Junior lies to Cody's parents about him saying the "N-word" and then forcing him to apologize to Joseph despite not actually saying the slur.
- Even worse, this ultimately make Junior and Joseph Karma Houdinis as they don't get punished for what they did to Cody.
Junior and Joseph accuse Cody to be part of the Klan (referring to KKK), even though Cody is Jewish, and the Klan hates jews as well as black people.
When Junior and Joseph ask Cody three questions to verify if he is a racist, they ask who is his favorite king, he said King Tut, and they got angry with him, for not choosing Martin Luther King, and they claim that he is a king (hence his last name), even though he isn't.
- Also King Tut is black, and Joseph with Junior themselves said that Cody should have chosen a black king.
Terrible ending: When one of the lightbulbs on the ceiling fan fizzes out and makes the room darker as a result, Cody points out that the room is darker, in which Junior and Joseph get mad at him again (due to them thinking he went back to being a racist), in which Cody leaves in anger.
This video was nothing more but to make fun of black lives matter. Just because you have a black friend doesn't mean you can use him/her to make racist content like that.

The Only Redeeming Quality[edit | edit source]

Cody and Chef Pee Pee are the only likable characters.

Cody's Bad Word was universally panned by the SML community, and is often regarded as one of the worst, if not the worst episode by many fans. Many people claim it to be worse than its predecessor, Jeffy's Bad Word. Logan Thirtyacre himself as made a comment on the video asking if they should make an episode where Cody gets some new friends.

On December 27, 2022, this video was so hated, that someone made a petition to get it taken down (link to petition is down below).

This is also notable for ruining Junior and Joseph's reputations and making them a lot more hated by the fanbase than before, as former fans of them have started to absolutely hate them after the events of this video.
